L’oreal Caresse Lipstick

L’oreal Caresse lipsticks are marketed as a weightless flash of luminous colour. They are available in 10 shades and can be bought from most drugstores for around £7.99.

I actually favour this new collection to L’oreal over the new Revlon lip butters as I think they have a little more staying power and don’t seem to slip as much. The packaging is slightly more superior as well. This picture doesn’t do them justice. They are a little smaller and thinner than your usual lipstick but I get the impression that no expense was spared on the presentation.

They have a lovely balmy quality and a light pleasant scent. The product does not sit on your lips with a greasy or waxy texture. It feels light weight (as described) and moisturising. As you really do get a generous ‘Pop’ of colour is some really beautiful shades. My favourite is ‘Dating Coral’ which has been my go-to lipstick for the summer season. It really is the perfect shade of coral. Not too orange. Not too pink and not too peach. A perfect combination of all three that is suitable for all skin tones. In face its such a nice shade that I accidentally bought it twice.

 (With Flash)

From Top Left To Right:

1: 401 Rebel Red

2: 101 Tempting Lilac

3: 202 Impulsive Fuchsia

4: 301 Dating Coral

5: 103 Sweet Berry

6: 01 Fashionista Pink

7: 07 Cheeky Magenta

8: 501 Nude Ingenue

 (Without Flash)

I have all 10 shades but decided to swatch my favourites.

Rebel Red: This is a lovely rosy red to wear on a cold day. I like to compliment this lipstick with extra black lashes.

Fashionista pink: This is my go to shade for a pretty and neutral pink. I use this a lot when I wear mint green eyeshadow.

Impulsive Fuchsia: This isn’t a shade that I would usually go for but it is very popular right now and it is very pretty and surprisingly flattering against any skin tone. Perfect for a night out.

Cheeky Magenta: This is great for when your feeling like more of a bold colour, yet it’s still a safe shade to wear to work. I would advise wearing minimal eye make-up and cheek colour so as to not look too over done.
